Mix a little natural soap with warm water and scrub with a soft toothbrush. Toothbrushes are perfect for cleaning jewellery with hard-to-reach corners. If the dirt persists, repeat the same process in clean water. Important: gold-plated items require more care. Aggressive scrubbing can cause the plating to wear off. It is therefore important that jewellery is cleaned gently to avoid damage. A special silver polishing cloth is an excellent tool to make your jewellery shine, should it tarnish over time. However, this technique will not remove any scratches or dents on the jewellery.

Coquillage cannot guarantee that the gold plating of our items will last forever. Gold-plated items are, by their nature, more fragile and susceptible to losing colour over time. The speed at which this colour fades will depend on various factors, such as the use of chemicals on the skin, the amount of perspiration of the wearer, or even the pH level of the individual's skin. For this reason, it is particularly important to ensure proper care of your gold-plated jewellery. We are committed to working only with the highest quality materials, so we guarantee perfect plating for up to 18 months from purchase.
